The Caribbean Climate Innovation Center (CCIC), established in 2014, is a joint venture between two leading scientific institutions in the Caribbean, the Scientific Research Council (SRC) and the Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI).
The CCIC focuses on five critical areas, including water management, sustainable agriculture, energy efficiency, solar energy, and resource use efficiency, offering support to companies at all stages of innovation. The CCIC’s services include early-stage education, bootcamps, accelerators, grants, and other services.

The Carbon Neutral Initiative, a Jamaican cleantech startup, aims to support Sustainable Development Goals through climate-resilient solutions. The company is developing a sustainable biofuel called Defossilized-30 to help refineries decarbonize and improve operational efficiency. It also helps developing countries reduce fossil fuel dependency by using local renewable resources to meet energy needs at lower prices.
